The location was great, close to both the Waimea canyon and the ocean. We were able to easily explore both during our stay. The spacious rooms provided us with the privacy we needed and the fans on the ceilings kept us cool. having a mini fridge in our room was convenient for storing drinks and snacks.
The cleanliness of the hotel was not up to par. We encountered bugs crawling on the tables and noticed stains on the sheets.

The location of the hotel is great, with local restaurants, shops, and a supermarket just a few steps away. the beach is also very close, just 50 meters away, allowing for easy access to enjoy the ocean. the staff is excellent, providing helpful recommendations for beautiful and quiet beaches to visit nearby, like the locally known Polihale Beach.
The AC in the rooms is extremely old and loud, making it impossible to sleep while it's on.

I got great value for my money at this hotel. The room was clean and cozy, with a lovely ocean view. The location was convenient for exploring the west coast and visiting the Waimea Canyon. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout my stay.
Breakfast delights could be improved with more variety or a kitchenette option.

Great location for walking to grocery store, popular restaurants, and a black sand beach. A/C window unit worked well. Windows had jalousie louvre slats for breeze. Lots of space with living room, king bedroom with spa tub, and separate toilet room. Enjoyed learning history and felt safe.

We stayed at this charming hotel for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The tub in our room was luxurious and the spaciousness of the room was a pleasant surprise. The proximity to the beach was great for walks, although we couldn't hear the waves. The hotel provided a true Hawaiian experience with its warm and friendly staff. The cozy, clean rooms felt like a home away from home, especially with the large windows that allowed the refreshing trade winds to flow in. We loved being within walking distance of markets and shops. it was a delightful stay.
I do recommend this hotel.

Great location near Waimea Canyon and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. the bed was incredibly comfortable, providing a great night's sleep. having a mini fridge in the room was convenient for keeping snacks and drinks.
The shower setup was not ideal, with no separation between the toilet and shower. It would have been helpful to know this beforehand.

We stayed at West Kauai Lodging Villa for 8 nights and absolutely loved it. the heritage house has so much history behind it, and we enjoyed the charming and old structure. the location was perfect, close to groceries, Waimea Canyon, and delicious cheap food options. It was great to be surrounded by locals and not tourists. the private beach nearby, Salt Pond Beach, was not crowded and perfect for fishing and watching sunsets. the best part was the native Hawaiian church right opposite the villa, where we were treated like family. the property owner and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. the room/home had a huge jetted tub, and we could easily walk to the beach for sunset and to several restaurants. The close proximity to exploring Waimea Canyon was a big plus too. 😊.

Our recent stay at West Kauai Lodging was overall a pleasant experience. The staff was helpful and accommodating, providing clear instructions and great communication. The location, close to Waimea Canyon, was perfect for our hiking plans. The spacious room and cute historical building added to the charm of our stay. Additionally, the nearby black sand beach and sunset views were stunning. Despite a few minor drawbacks, such as some noise from a nearby church and the need for updates in certain areas, we enjoyed our time here. I would recommend this hotel for its convenient location and comfortable accommodations.
